This exhibit, organized in partnership with CALACA, The Latino Cultural Arts Collective, showcases the talent of our community. Every year Calaca brings to the public a different theme that incorporates current issues in our communities or personal lives.

This year, “Su Casita” is the theme--artists as well as members of the public have created casa type altars and artworks that express a feeling of being inside a home.

Jana Bommersbach reinvestigates the twisted, bizarre murder case, uncovers evidence long hidden, and encourages Judd to break her life-long silence.

Museum Youth Curator Experience (MYCE)

July 12 - July 30, 2010

Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
$300; ($270 AHS member households)

The MYCE program teaches teenagers to research, design, and create their own exhibits. Participants learn from museum professionals who guide them through the hands-on process of creating a museum exhibit.

If you are interested in becoming a member of MYCE, please contact the Education office at (520) 617-1154, email hingram@azhs.gov, or fill out a MYCE application.

Applications will be reviewed in late spring.

Winter - Spring Desert Trips, Talks and Events

Talks are held in the gardens of the Sanguinetti House Museum.  No reservations are required.  Cost is $4 per person, free to volunteers & members.

Desert trips require a high clearance vehicle.  Reservations are required & can be made one month in advance.
